Project Overview
Architectural BIM Services for Data Centers
At BimOffis, we delivered architectural BIM services for Adani Data Center BIM Project, a large-scale infrastructure project in India. The goal was simple turn basic design inputs into accurate, construction-ready BIM models that teams could actually rely on. To follow global BIM standards, we aligned our workflow with guidelines from buildingSMART International.
From PDF Drawings to Detailed BIM Models
The client provided us with PDF drawings, which we carefully converted into highly detailed BIM models. We developed these models at LOD 400 and LOD 500, following industry best practices defined by American Institute of Architects to ensure consistency and accuracy in every detail.
Improving Design Accuracy with BIM
As part of our architectural BIM services for data centers, we didn’t just model we improved the overall design data. Using tools like Autodesk Revit, our team refined the details to make the models more accurate, practical, and aligned with project requirements.
Clash-Free Coordination Made Easy
Coordination is where BIM really proves its value. Using Autodesk Navisworks, we ran clash detection to identify and resolve conflicts early. This helped avoid costly issues during construction and made collaboration smoother for everyone involved.
Built for Construction and Beyond
The final BIM models weren’t just useful during construction they were also structured to support facility management later on. By following BIM processes aligned with ISO standards, we ensured long-term value and usability for the data center project.

Project Challenges
Incomplete and Unclear PDF Inputs
Many drawings lacked clear dimensions and annotations, making accurate BIM conversion technically challenging.
Frequent Design Revisions
Continuous architectural updates required regular model modifications and version control management.
Interdisciplinary Coordination Issues
Alignment gaps between Architectural, Structural, and MEPF models resulted in recurring clashes that required resolution.
High LOD 400-500 Modeling Requirements
Developing fabrication-level BIM models for detailed elements such as fire-rated doors, rolling shutters, mesh walls, and trap doors demanded high precision and validation.
Complex Architectural Elements
Modeling specialized data center architectural components required detailed technical understanding and strict quality control.
Model Consistency and Quality Control
Ensuring model consistency across revisions and disciplines required structured workflows and continuous QA/QC checks.
